Lazio stars Matteo Guendouzi and Nuno Tavares earned the highest marks on the player ratings of the Italian newspapers after helping their club beat Torino on Sunday.
The Granata entered the contest as the shock Serie A leaders, but it was the Biancocelesti who had the upper hand from the get-go. The former Arsenal duo combined to score the early opener, with Tavares darting towards the byline before picking up Guendouzi’s run. The Frenchman also had a hand in Boulaye Dia’s strike which gave Lazio a two-goal cushion.
Torino then pulled one back through Che Adams, but Tijjani Noslin came off the bench in the 89th minute to instantly bag his first goal for the club and secure all three points despite a lovely late strike from Saul Coco which ended the match 3-2.

Therefore, the majority of the Italian newspapers crowned Guendouzi as the Man of the Match, while Tavares wasn’t too far behind. The duo received grades between 7 and 8/10. Ivan Provedel also earned the plaudits despite conceding twice, and the same goes for Boulaye Dia who extending his brilliant run of form.
