Juventus could receive another painful blow, as Teun Koopmeiners risks spending some time on the sidelines which would rule him out of the contest against Lazio.

The Bianconeri have recently lost the services of Gleison Bremer due to a horrific ACL injury that will likely keep him out of action for the remainder of the season. And while Koopmeiners’ condition is far less serious, he could also skip the coming fixtures if he were to be diagnosed with an injury.

The Dutchman was in the starting lineup in the weekend’s contest against Cagliari, but was replaced at the interval after complaining of pain in the ribs. Therefore, he briefly joined the Netherlands’ camp after receiving a call-up from Ronald Koeman, but had to make a swift return to Turin.

Koopmeiners Could Skip Lazio Clash

According to La Repubblica (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), the 26-year-old might be suffering from a rib fracture. He will undergo the necessary tests in the coming hours to shed more light on his condition. If the results were to confirm an injury, he will most likely be sidelined over the next few weeks, thus missing the contest against Lazio at the Allianz Stadium on October 19th.

Juventus will also have to do without the suspended Francisco Conceicao who was sent off against Cagliari for a second card due to simulation, in addition to the injured Nico Gonzalez and Arkadiusz Milik, leaving Motta with limited options upfront.
