Marco Baroni will tweak his Lazio starting lineup for their midweek Serie A contest against Como at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia, but it will remain largely similar to the formation that beat Genoa 3-0 last weekend.

Three Changes to Lazio Starting Lineup vs Como

According to La Lazio Siamo Noi, the Biancocelesti coach will only be making three changes to the starting lineup, including a mandatory one.

Nicolo Rovella will skip the trip to Lombardia after picking up a muscle problem in training. The technical staff don’t want to take any risks with the midfielder, so Matias Vecino should join Matteo Guendouzi in the double pivot.

Mattia Zaccagni hasn’t fully recovered from his illness, so Tijjani Noslin should maintain his spot on the left wing; moreover, Baroni will reportedly rest Boulaye Dia and Gustav Isaksen, giving the nod to Pedro and Loum Tchaouna.

Spanish Duo to Get the Nod in the Heart of Defense

On the other hand, the backline will remain intact, as the Spanish duo of Mario Gila and Patric remain the favourites to start over Alessio Romagnoli and Samuel Gigot at the heart of the defense.

And despite Manuel Lazzari’s return to the squad, Adam Marusic will maintain his spot at right-back, while the in-form Nuno Tavares will occupy the opposite flank, thus keeping Luca Pellegrini on the bench.

  1. I must say I do like the caution we take with small injuries and the players form, resting the right players at the right time, but for that you need to have a coach who trusts the 20 players not only the 1st 11 so as a consequence I trust Baroni 👏🏻
