Marco Baronisinigaglia will be deprived of the services of two of his key players in Mattia Zaccagni and Nicolo Rovella when Lazio lock horns with Como on Thursday.

The Latest on Mattia Zaccagni

The club captain had already skipped Sunday’s contest against Genoa due to a gastrointestinal problem that even warranted a visit to the hospital; the coach and the technical staff have now decided to leave out Zaccagni for the second match in a row.

While the 29-year-old was tipped to recover in time for the trip to Como, it appears that his condition will require a few more days on the sidelines. Therefore, Baroni will have to find himself an alternative on the left wing.

Tijjani Noslin got the nod last weekend and he responded with a fabulous opener. So the Dutchman could receive a second starting berth in a row.

Nicolo Rovella’s Training Injury

Moreover, Lazio were dealt with another blow as Rovella has apparently picked up a muscular problem in the final training session before the Northern trip.

The technical staff have opted against risking him for the encounter against the Lariani, so the 23-year-old will remain in Rome. This could give the opportunity to Matias Vecino to start alongside Matteo Guendouzi.
