Lazio Stalwart Patric discusses his great bond with the club’s fanbase after opening his goalscoring account for the season. The Spaniard headed home the Biancocelesti’s third goal in the rampant 5-1 victory over Como.

The 31-year-old started at the back alongside his younger compatriot Mario Gila. And while he couldn’t prevent Luca Mazzitielli’s astonishing strike, the experienced central defender was still among the best performers of the evening.

Hardworking Squad

In his post-match interview with DAZN (via LazioNews24), Patric credited the squad’s hardworking ethics throughout the week for the current positive run.

We are happy with our current performances, and that we have certainties in our game. We are humble and we work hard throughout the week and during the matches.

Patric on Rapport with Lazio Fanbase

The Barcelona youth product has been plying his trade at Lazio since 2015, so he now considers himself part of the fanbase.

I am a son of the Laziali [the Lazio supporters]. They helped me become the man I am today.

Honored to Play Alongside Castellanos

Patric also heaped praise on the work of his manager Marco Baroni and his teammate Taty Castellanos who bagged a brace against Como.

We are happy with what the new coach and the new signings are offering. For us, it is an honor to have Castellanos in the team. He also fights in the defensive phase. He’s very important to our game.
