Following Thursday’s away victory over Como, Lazio coach Marco Baroni will ring the changes in his starting lineup ahead of Monday’s encounter against Cagliari.
According to La Lazio Siamo Noi, the 61-year-old will almost revamp the entire starting XI, with only three players set to maintain their berths, including goalkeeper Ivan Provedel.
The former Lecce and Hellas Verona boss has been tinkering with his selections since the start of the campaign, and this ploy has been bearing its fruits, with the Biancocelesti winning seven of their last eight outings across all competitions.
Manuel Lazzari & Samuel Gigot Set to Start in Backline
The source expects a complete overhaul at the back, with Manuel Lazzari set to start his first match in over a month after recovering from injury.
The Italian will thus give Adam Marusic a breather, as the latter was forced to cover extra shifts in recent weeks. On the other flank, Luca Pellegrini will deputize for the suspended Nuno Tavares.
Samuel Gigot and Alessio Romagnoli are tipped to pick up the baton from Patric and Mario Gila at the heart of the backline.
Nicolo Rovella to Return From Injury & Taty Castellanos to Rest
In the middle of the park, Nicolo Rovella will return after missing the midweek action due to a slight physical problem, while Matias Vecino, Matteo Guendouzi and Gaetano Castrovilli are vying for a place alongside him. The Frenchman is apparently the favourite.
On the wings, Loum Tchaouna could get the nod ahead of Gustav Isaksen, while Tijjani Noslin will start once more in case Mattia Zaccagni fails to fully recover from illness.
Moreover, Taty Castellanos could be rested upfront, so Boulaye Dia will spearhead the club’s charge, supported by Fisayo Dele-Bashiru who could replace Pedro in the hole.
Lazio Probable XI vs Cagliari
