Since the start of the season, Lazio have been almost perfect when it comes to playing home fixtures, as a visit to the Stadio Olimpico has become a daunting task for the club’s domestic and European foes.

Il Corriere dello Sport sheds some light on the club’s brilliant run of form at home. Since the start of the season, Marco Baroni’s men have suffered three defeats in 13 competitive fixtures across all competitions. Nevertheless, they all ensued on the road, particularly in Udine, Florence and Turin (against Juventus).

On the other hand, the Biancocelesti have been reigning supreme in Rome. Between the Serie A and the Europa League, Lazio hosted six different opponents, and emerged victorious on five occasions, beating Venezia, Hellas Verona, OGC Nice, Empoli and most recently Genoa. The only side to visit the Olimpico and leave unscathed this season was Milan who registered a 2-2 draw.

Therefore, Baroni and his men will be looking to extend their impressive record in their two upcoming which will both be held in the Italian capital. The first is a Serie A contest against Cagliari on Monday, which will be followed by a much-anticipated Europa League showdown against Porto on Thursday.
