Lazio stars Mattia Zaccagni and Nicolo Rovella earned the highest grades for their displays against Monza in the player ratings handed by the most renowned Italian newspapers (via La Lazio Siamo Noi).
The Biancocelesti kept their golden run going by edging past Alessandro Nesta’s men by a single goal courtesy of Zaccagni. After hitting the post in the 33rd minute, the club captain replicated the same move a few minutes later, but his curler found the far corner on the second attempt.

The 29-year-old was picked as the Man of the Match alongside Nicolo Rovella on most accounts, earning marks between 7 and 8/10. The midfielder controlled the tempo in the middle of the park and helped navigate the team toward the finish line unscathed.
Newspapers Disagree over Alessio Romagnoli
Alessio Romagnoli also earned impressive notes, including an 8/10. However, he also received a 6/10 on another account, as the newspapers appeared undecided over his display. Matteo Guendouzi, Nuno Tavares and Adam Marusic were praised for their displays, while Boulaye Dia and Matias Vecini received the lowest marks (including a 5.5/10).

I think both Dia and Vecino deserved at least a 6, but maybe it’s my personal bias because I support them, however, I do take in account the 7 matches in 21 days so maybe that also affects it.
Anyway, Baroni gets a 10. 9 wins in the last 10 is inpressive !
Also , I don’t know what is average in the eyes of these newspapers. For me an average display is a 6, the newspapers might be doing 5/5.5 for an average performance and if that is the case, I can agree with them. It depends on what does average get you out of 10.
