Transfermarkt.it revealed the Italian players who gained the most playing time in Serie A this season, as Lazio goalkeeper Ivan Provedel shares the top spot with five others.
After the first 12 matchdays of the season, the Biancocelesti custodian has been omnipresent on the pitch. His backup Christos Mandas got the nod on three occasions in the Europa League, but has yet to play a minute in Serie A this term. Therefore, Provedel has earned 1,080 minutes (without calculating added time).
Ivan Provedel Omnipresent for Lazio in Serie A
The 30-year-old goalkeeper thus lands on top of the list alongside five of his compatriots. Napoli captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Lecce goalkeeper Wladimiro Falcone, Cagliari defender Sebastiano Luperto, Lecce stalwart Federico Baschirotto and Empoli youngster Mattia Viti have been constantly present on the pitch as well.
The Top 15 list also includes Roma defender Gianluca Mancini who lands in seventh place with 1,003 minutes, as well as versatile Juventus star Andrea Cambiaso who falls just outside the Top 10 with 992 minutes.
Only One Lazio Representative
Lazio don’t have any other representative on the list. Marco Baroni has been constantly rotating his squad, while the likes of Mattia Zaccagni and Manuel Lazzari had spells on the sidelines recently, which have taken its toll on their playing time.
