Lazio captain Mattia Zaccagni has once again received the highest notes in the player ratings of the Italian newspapers after leading the Biancocelesti to a 3-0 victory over Bologna.
The Biancocelesti extended their golden run to seven victories in a row while ending their visitors’ long undefeated streak. Marco Baroni’s men took full advantage of Tommaso Pobega’s dismissal in the first half as they applied the damage in the second period.
Lazio Captain Mattia Zaccagni Named MOTM vs Bologna
Zaccagni prompted the opener with a corner kick that found Samuel Gigot at the back post. The Lazio skipper then scored the second himself following a great combination with Luca Pellegrini down the left flank. Therefore, the 29-year-old was chosen as the Man of the Match by the Lega Serie A, and this choice was echoed by the most renowned Italian newspapers who handed him the highest notes (between 7 and 7.5).
Forgettable Outing for Pedro
Pellegrini, Manuel Lazzari, Gigot, Mario Gila and Nicolo Rovella also earned decent marks. The same goes for Fisayo Dele-Bashiru who managed to open his Serie A account despite entering the match with only six minutes remaining on the clock. On the other hand, Pedro earned the lowest average grade, as one of the newspapers handed him a 5/10 (via La Lazio Siamo Noi).
