Marco Baroni will have to come up with new solutions, as several Lazio pillars will miss the upcoming fixture against Como either through injury or suspension.

Derby Damage

The Biancocelesti are coming off an agonizing defeat at the hands of their biggest rivals Roma who prevailed 2-0 in the Derby della Capitale. And as if losing their most significant fixture of the season wasn’t enough, the tense encounter will also deprive Lazio of three absolute protagonists for Friday’s Serie A contest.

The Suspended Trio

Taty Castellanos was sent off after sparking a last-gasp melee following a challenge on Mats Hummels, and he risks missing several matches, depending on the sports judge’s decision. On the other hand, Mattia Zaccagni and Mario Gila were among a host of players who earned bookings while the tempers were flaring, so they’ll both be serving one-match bans after collecting five yellow cards.

The Injury Front

Moreover, Patric will remain out of action for around one month due to an ankle problem, while Matias Vecino isn’t expected to return for several weeks. But at least La Lazio Siamo Noi tips Pedro to recover in time to face his old friend Cesc Fabregas (who now serves as Como’s head coach), while Tijjani Noslin and Manuel Lazzari have already made their return in the Derby, coming on as second-half substitutes.
