While Arijon Ibrahimovic is finalizing his transfer to Lazio, Gustav Isaksen could be reportedly pushed out of the door.
Imminent New Signing
The Biancocelesti are on the cusp of announcing Ibrahimovic as their first January signing after reaching an agreement with Bayern Munich over a loan move with an option to buy for circa €8 million, while the Bavarians maintained a buy-back option for around €20 million. The 19-year-old landed in Rome on Sunday night and is undergoing his medical on Monday.
Arijon Ibrahimovic Could Push Gustav Isaksen Outside Lazio
According to Il Messaggero (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), the teenager’s arrival could spell the end of Isaksen’s time in the Italian capital. The Dane had his highs and lows since joining the club in the summer of 2023, and he could become surplus to requirements as the versatile Ibrahimovic is capable of filling the right-wing slot among other roles.
Celtic & Other Suitors Lining Up for Isaksen
The source claims several clubs would be interested in recruiting the 23-year-old Denmark international, and chief among them Celtic who have been on his trail for quite some time now. The Glasgow-based giants were hellbent on acquiring Isaksen last summer, but to no avail.
However, the report believes the stars could finally align for the reigning Scottish champions. Nevertheless, Celtic aren’t alone in the race, as the winger has also attracted interest from Bologna as well as Premier League clubs. Isaksen’s contract with Lazio runs until the summer of 2028.
Why would u want to sell isaksen. 2 wingers competing for the same position improves the teams options upfront. It’s provedel that needs to relinquish the starting spot for mandes…
I would get rid of Castrovili although I like him as a player. I am afraid that his injury issues won’t improve. We already have a lot of midfielders for the central positions and next to that he (Ibra) is more fitted in a central position.
