Lazio are reportedly reflecting on the future of Gustav Isaksen after receiving two new offers for his services.
The Background
The Dane has had his fair share of highs and lows since joining the club in the summer of 2023. This season, he has cemented himself as a regular starter on the right wing, especially following a solid start to the campaign, but some of his recent displays left much to be desired. Moreover, the arrival of the versatile Arijon Ibrahimovic could render him surplus to requirements.
Gustav Isaksen Receives Two Bids
So according to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, Isaksen’s situation in the Italian capital has alerted several suitors, with two clubs launching bids for the 23-year-old, one of them being Olympiacos. Lazio insider Damiano Er Faina claims that the Greek giants are hoping to sign the player on loan with an obligation to buy for €13 million.
Deep Reflection
Furthermore, Pedulla reveals that the Aquile directors are now carefully studying the situation, as they could decide to offload the Denmark international and raise some funds for their market operation, which includes signing a new midfielder.
Lazio Keen to Maintain Christos Mandas
On the other hand, the Sportitalia journalist claims that Lazio have adopted a much more defiant approach when it comes to Christos Mandas who has also attracted the interest of some suitors on the market. The 23-year-old Greek goalkeeper has been serving as Ivan Provedel’s understudy, but the management is determined to keep him at Formello, as he’s considered the future of the club.
We haven’t tried Ibrahimovic yet..his also injury prone so this is not the time to be selling isaksen. Such a player u only let him go at the end of the season
I must agree with you, also, his value could easily rise significantly too. Casadei won’t take up a spot but Veiga is 23.
If we let Basic go, or Hysaj than it’s ok to keep Gustav and sign both Chelsea players.
Mandas is our future (soon will take over Ivans gloves)
