Lazio will most likely miss the services of Fisayo Dele-Bashiru in their upcoming fixtures against Inter and Milan.

The Background

With Nicolo Rovella serving a one-match ban, Marco Baroni resorted to the Nigerian in the middle of the park in Saturday’s Serie A fixture against Venezia which ended in a goalless draw. Sadly for the 24-year-old, his afternoon ended prematurely after twisting his left ankle in the first half and had to be helped by the medical staff while making his way out of the pitch.

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru to Miss Coppa Italia Tie

Dele-Bashiru is expected to undergo medical tests in the coming hours to reveal the extent of his injury, but in the meantime, Il Corriere dello Sport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) has already ruled him out of Tuesday’s Coppa Italia quarter-final clash against Inter. The Roman newspaper can’t see the midfielder pulling off an immediate recovery.

Unlikely Recovery for Milan Clash

Following their contest against the Nerazzurri, Lazio will return to San Siro on the weekend for a Serie A fixture against Milan. The same source believes Dele-Bashiru is also highly likely to miss this contest as well.

The Injury List

The former Man City U23 starlet thus joins the growing list of absentees that includes Taty Castellanos, Elseid Hysaj and Matias Vecino, although the latter is expected to make his long-awaited return in the coming days.
