The Italian newspapers handed their ratings to the Lazio players who fell short in their quest to eliminate Inter Milan from the Coppa Italia (via La Lazio Siamo Noi).
Lazio Crash Out of Coppa Italia
Marco Baroni’s men started the match on the right foot, but failed to score from their 16 attempts. On the contrary, the Nerazzurri broke the deadlock from their first shot on target which was a sensational volley from Marko Arnautovic. Hakan Calhanoglu scored the second from the spot to seal the win.
Loum Tchaouna Fails to Inflict Damage Upfront
Therefore, Lazio have once again paid the price for Taty Castellanos’ absence. While Tijjani Noslin was disappointing against Venezia last weekend, Loum Tchaouna didn’t fare much better in his unconventional role as a striker. The young Frenchman received the lowest ratings among Biancocelesti players, including one 4/10.
Gustav Isaksen the Best Among Lazio Players
Samuel Gigot and Luca Pellegrini also earned relatively low grades, while Gustav Isaksen was the best performer for Lazio, receiving 7/10 on all accounts. The Dane was the team’s biggest threat in attack, testing Josep Martinez on several occasions with dangerous shots.
