TuttoMercatoWeb released its worst lineup of Serie A Matchday 29, and it was almost exclusively constituted of Lazio and Juventus players.

Lazio Hammered by Bologna

After being pummelled by Inter in December, the Biancocelesti suffered their second-worst beatdown of the season, this time at the hands of Bologna who managed to put five unanswered goals past Ivan Provedel. While the goalkeeper wasn’t necessarily at fault on most occasions, he was still considered the worst shot-stopper of the weekend.

The Not-So-Superb Six

Moreover, Marco Baroni’s men took all four spots at the back in what is certainly a rare occurrence. Mario Gila in particular had an awful outing, while Alessio Romagnoli, Manuel Lazzari and Adam Marusic didn’t fare much better. Boulaye Dia failed to inflict any damage upfront, so his inclusion meant Lazio have six representatives in the unsavoury lineup.

Woeful Juventus

Instead of taking full advantage of Lazio’s fall, Juventus suffered another heavy defeat, this time at the hands of Fiorentina. Nicolo Fagioli led his side towards a memorable 3-0 over the sorry Bianconeri. Therefore, Thiago Motta’s side provided the lineup with four players in the shape of Khephren Thuram, Teun Koopmeiners, Nicolas Gonzalez and Randal Kolo Muani.

Nightmare Debut for Dele Alli

Finally, the only one to break the Lazio-Juventus exclusivity was Como’s Dele Alli. The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder made his Serie A debut against AC Milan, but his cameo only lasted nine minutes, as he ended up receiving his marching orders after a nasty tackle on his compatriot Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
