Lazio will be looking to put their European heartbreak behind them when they take on Genoa in the 33rd round of Serie A.

The rescheduled contest will take place at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium on Wednesday, kicking off at 18:30 local time.

Patrick Vieira is missing several players through injury, including Alan Matturo, Honest Ahanor, Mattia Bani, Hugo Cuenca and the influential Ruslan Malinovskyi. The Frenchman is expected to maintain his 4-2-3-1 formation with Nicola Leali in goal, and Stefano Sabelli, Koni De Winter, Johan Vazquez and Aaron Martin ahead of him.

In midfield, Patrizio Masini should link up with Morten Frendrup, while Morten Thorsby could be the favorite to start on the right wing, thus adding extra muscle to lineup. Alessandro Zanoli will occupy the right flank Fabio Miretti, and Vitinha starts behind Andrea Pinamonti who will be leading the line.

Nuno Tavares is set for a new stint on the sidelines, joining Patric who’s out for the season. Meanwhile, Gustav Isaksen will be serving a one-match ban. Adam Marusic has now emerged as the surprise candidate to replace the Dane in the right wing role, while Manuel Lazzari joins Mario Gila, Alessio Romagnoli and Luca Pellegrini at the back.

In the middle of the park, Matteo Guendouzi and Nicolo Rovella will keep their roles, while Taty Castellanos will have to prove his fitness to get the nod upfront. Boulaye Dia should start behind the Argentine, while Mattia Zaccagni takes his usual place on the left flank.
