Lazio are reportedly considering selling Alessio Romagnoli who now has a rich suitor in the Saudi Pro League.
The Background
The 30-year-old has been an absolute protagonist for Marco Baroni’s team this season. In addition to his solid performances at the back alongside Mario Gila, he has been equally vital in front of goal in recent weeks, scoring in three matches in a row in March, in addition to finding the back of the net in the Derby della Capitale against Roma.
Uncertain Lazio Future
Nevertheless, the Italian’s future at Formello is becoming increasingly uncertain, with several reports linking him with a summer exit; the latest coming from Radio Olympia (via Calciomercato).

According to the Roman source, Romagnoli has received a lucrative offer from Al-Qadsiah FC, which is the same Saudi club that was on the verge of signing Roma striker Paulo Dybala last summer.
Lazio Open to Selling Alessio Romagnoli
The report claims that Lazio are now reflecting on the offer as they’re currently inclined to lower the average age of the squad by selling some of the older players and replacing them with younger profiles. With the defender’s contract expiring in June 2027, this could be the ideal timing to cash in on him.
Romagnoli’s Stance
As for the former Milan captain, the report says he is happy at Lazio and has no desire to leave his beloved club. However, it should be noted that other sources had claimed that the player’s relationship with the hierarchy deteriorated in recent years, especially when Claudio Lotito didn’t keep his promise of handing him a pay rise after qualifying for the Champions League in 2023.
This one will be on Lotito, the cheap liar who can’t keep his word. Shameless
I am completely on Romagnolis side!
Romagnoli is not leaving Lazio. He is playing for his team of the heart, not just for the money.
Ok bro I agree, but as a man he was insulted, disrespected by the patron.
Anyway let’s beat Empoli and nothing else matters.
