Lazio winger Loum Tchaouna has officially completed his transfer to newly-promoted Premier League club Burnley.

The Background

While the Biancocelesti are prevented from making any signings this summer due to their unbalanced accounts, they can still sell players. Club president Claudio Lotito reiterated the club’s desire to keep their top stars, but also to trim the squad by offloading players deemed surplus to requirements.

Loum Tchaouna Failed to Impress at Lazio

After an underwhelming season at Formello, Tchaouna fell into the second category. The 21-year-old only managed to score two goals and create one assist across all competitions. Hence, he only acted as an understudy for Gustav Isaksen and was rarely seen on the pitch in the final fixtures.

Burnley Complete the Signing of Tchaouna

In the last couple of weeks, Burnley emerged as the leading candidate to sign the Frenchman. Lazio have now confirmed the transfer in an official note posted on the club’s website.

SS Lazio announces that it has permanently sold Loum Tchaouna to Burnley Football Club.

The club thanks Loum for his professionalism and wishes him the best of luck, both personally and sportingly, for this new adventure in the Premier League.

The Figures

While the official announcement didn’t disclose any figures, Lotito had mentioned that the deal is worth circa €15 million. The Clarets will likely pay a fixed fee of €14 million in addition to bonuses that could reach a maximum of €3 million. Tchaouna will meet his former teammates on August 9 when Burnley host Lazio in a pre-season friendly at Turf Moor.

    1. Yes and no, he was misused by Baroni quite a lot and Isakssen had a good season, I think there is potential there but we did not exploit it. Remember Pedro Neto for instance?

But these are my takes and more an opinion and hypothesis so if u just look at the fact, you are correct.

  1. Tchaouna was given a raw deal. I see great potential In the lad. It’s sad young players like him and sana fenandez would have to leave lazio before we come to our senses. Same we did to Raul moro
