Lazio owner Claudio Lotito resorted to a spiritual solution in an attempt to resolve the club’s recurring injury problems.
The Background
Since his return to the club last summer, Lazio head coach Maurizio Sarri has been encountering all sorts of issues. Not only was the management unable to strengthen his squad due to a transfer ban, but his team has been vastly impeded by never-ending injury woes.
Lazio Have Been Enduring Miserable Times with Injuries
At the moment, the Biancocelesti are without Nicolo Rovella, Matteo Cancellieri, Samuel Gigot and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, but a host of other players had spells on the sidelines as well, including club captain Mattia Zaccagni, and Taty Castellanos, who has only just returned to group training.

While some had blamed the newly renovated training grounds at Formello, Lotito has refuted this theory. Instead, the Lazio patron sought ‘divine’ intervention, reveals Il Corriere dello Sport.
Claudio Lotito Brings a Priest to Bless Formello
As the Roman newspaper explained, Lotito invited a priest to bless the training facility at Formello with holy water. The source believes the president resorted to this ritual out of faith rather than superstition, hoping to dispel the negative energy and help the Aquile turn the corner.
While Lotito might feel that Lazio need all the help they can get in this challenging period, most fans would argue that only a miracle would lift the club from its current misery.

9 points from the top hardly misery
Only a priest? He shoulda also invited a shaman & an excorcist.
And don’t forget a rich billionaire to take over the club
