Lazio are reportedly considering swapping Marco Baroni’s former protege, Tijjani Noslin, for Torino midfielder Ivan Ilic.
Lazio to Sign a New Midfielder in January
Since his return to the club last summer, Maurizio Sarri has been awaiting the arrival of a new box-to-box midfielder who can play on the left side. While the club wasn’t able to satisfy his request due to the transfer ban imposed by COVISOC, the situation should be resolved in the coming weeks, paving the way for a return to normality by January.
Lazio Eyeing a Move for Ivan Ilic
In recent days, Ilic has emerged as the favorite profile for the role, even though the likes of Giovanni Fabbian, Nicolo Fagioli and David Watson have also been mentioned. The 24-year-old Serbian has been playing his football in Torino since making the move from Hellas Verona in January 2023. However, he has lost his starting berth since Baroni’s arrival.
Marco Baroni Would Love to Reunite with Tijjani Noslin at Torino
Speaking of the 62-year-old manager, he might be interested in a reunion with Noslin, a player he brought to Lazio in the summer of 2024 following their prosperous collaboration in Verona. The Dutchman is a versatile attacker, but is now considered surplus to requirements, as Sarri has admitted he doesn’t know where to field him.
Could Lazio & Torino Plot a Swap Deal?
Therefore, Il Messaggero believes that a swap deal between Ilic and Noslin would work out well for all parties. It remains to be seen whether the two clubs will be able to find the right formula, as such agreements tend to be complicated.
Ilic’s Physical Condition
However, the source adds that the Serbian midfielder is currently struggling with a sprained knee, so the Biancocelesti must also keep tabs on his physical condition, as the last thing they want is another player on the treatment table.

I understand Sarri, but I also know that when Noslin does play a little he adds to Lazio. Whoever he replaces, be it Taty or Dia, he tends to offer something different with either an assist or a goal or just pressing really well. We might regret letting him go especially after his goal tonight against Lecce. He is someone who is very misunderstood…
Ps: did anyone notice how Tchaouna is a starter at Burnley in the Premier League?
