Lazio youngster Reda Belahyane is reportedly enticed by the prospect of joining Torino in the middle of the campaign.
Reda Belahyane Would Be Happy to Join Torino
Over the last 24 hours or so, several sources in the Italian media reported a potential swap deal involving the young Moroccan midfielder and Ivan Ilic, who is a longtime target of the Biancocelesti. Italian journalist Alfredo Pedullà, who was the first to break the story, insisted that the double deal remain in the works, adding that Belahyane is open to making the move.

The 21-year-old first arrived in Italy in January 2024, signing for Hellas Verona, who were coached by Marco Baroni at the time. A year later, the manager resorted to his services once more when he felt he needed an understudy for Nicolo Rovella in the Regista role. Hence, the OGC Nice youth product signed for Lazio in February 2025 on a deal worth circa €10 million.
Belahyane Destined to Play for Marco Baroni?
This season, Belahyane found himself at the very bottom of Maurizio Sarri’s pecking order. Danilo Cataldi’s return to Rome and Toma Basic’s unexpected career revival meant that the French-Moroccan is now considered surplus to requirements at Formello. Therefore, the youngster might end up joining a club coached by Baroni for the third winter in a row.
Ongoing Talks Between Lazio & Torino
As Pedullà reveals, the two clubs are now working on finding agreements for the transfers of Ilic and, above all, Belahyane, who would likely sign for the Granata on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.

This would be a great move. Ilic would be exactly the kind of weapon in midfield that Lazio is currently lacking. I really hope this trade goes through.
