Lazio might have found themselves an ally in their attempts to land AC Milan midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek or Atalanta’s Lazar Samardzic in January.

Taty Castellanos on his Way to Sign for West Ham

After lifting the transfer ban, the Biancocelesti aren’t planning to waste any time this month, and they have already struck an agreement with West Ham United for the sale of Taty Castellanos, who should finalize his move to East London in the coming days. The Argentine will replace Niclas Fullkrug, who left the Hammers to join Milan. The German bomber made his Serie A debut against Cagliari on Friday.

Niclas Fullkrug’s Arrival Could Trigger Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s Milan Departure

Following Fullkrug’s arrival, the Rossoneri could open to letting one of their players leave in January. The club’s sporting director, Igli Tare, ruled out Christopher Nkunku’s exit, but Loftus-Cheek could be given the green light for the right offer. The Englishman has often played as an attacking mifielder in Max Allegri’s 3-5-1-1 formation, but he might find less play in the second half of the season.

Lazio To Launch January Onslaught for Loftus-Cheek

Earlier this week, Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla tipped Lazio to launch a new onslaught for the 29-year-old, who remains a favorite of Maurizio Sarri, who had coached him at Chelsea, and tried to bring him to Formello during his first managerial stint in the Italian capital.

Maurizio Sarri’s Agent Could Unlock Lazio & Milan Talks

While previous reports described the operation as difficult, partially due to the strained relationship between Lazio and Milan, Il Messaggero (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) believes that the Aquile could resort to Sarri’s agent, Paolo Busardo, to negotiate with the Rossoneri on their behalf.

Lazio Consider Lazar Samardzic a Fallback Option

As the source explains, Busardo has solid connections at Milan, and he also shares a good rapport with Atalanta sporting director, Tony D’Amico. Hence, he could also lend a hand to Lazio should they decide to pursue Samardzic. Nevertheless, Loftus-Cheek remains Sarri’s top priority to bolster the midfield department in January.

  1. Getting RLC + Raspadori would be amazing. Nuno could help for the Italian and with Insigne and likely Pedra,a we could look solid for the 2nd part of the season.

    1. I don’t think they can afford all of that. Arsenal has a big sell on fee attached to Nuno

      1. But when you do player exchange and you don’t get much money than you have no need to pay much either I think so
Hypothetically we do player plus cash swap, Nuno being valued say €30 mil and Raspadori at 22mil, and we agree that Atleti pay 8mil difference than Arsenal would get 30%(OR 40% whatever clause is there) of the 8 mil and not of the 30mil, isn’t it? If I’m wrong I apologise

        1. No, you’re correct. But RLC is expensive as well. Lotito would need to dish out a lot of money to afford their salaries plus the fees for Insigne, and RLC. I would love to see this happen, but I’m skeptical.
