Hellas Verona are reportedly willing to sell their young striker Giovane to Lazio, but they’re seeking a higher transfer fee.

Lazio & Hellas Verona Working on Giovane & Belahyane Swap

Over the past few days, sources in the Italian media have reported a potential swap deal involving Giovane and Reda Belahyane. The Moroccan midfielder is considered surplus to requirements at Formello, but his former employers would be happy to welcome him back to Verona. On the other hand, the Brazilian forward has been one of the best revelations of the Serie A campaign.

According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedullà, Lazio and Verona continue to negotiate in the hopes of finding the right formula. Maurizio Sarri has also given the green light for Giovane’s arrival, as he likes the player’s attributes and his ability to play anywhere in the final third. However, the Biancocelesti must also act swiftly, as Napoli continue to monitor the 22-year-old.

Verona Set their Price for Giovane

The transfer market expert adds that Lazio have offered the services of Belahyane in addition to €10 million for Giovane, but Verona are asking for a figure worth €13-15 million to level out the deal, as they believe the Moroccan’s market value is only €6 million.

Cash-only Deal for Giovane?

On the other hand, Italian journalist Damiano Er Faina claims that Verona are still considering whether they want to pursue Belahyane or not. Hence, in the meantime, they have asked Lazio to pay Giovane’s price tag in a cash-only operation. He also adds that intermediaries are working to sell the young Lazio midfielder to Cremonese.

  1. Lazio have been importing overpriced mediocre(if not impotent) players from Hellas Verona in these years. This should stop.

    1. Not only that, Belahyane is just awful, one of the worse signings in recent memory, under sized, unimpressive in every aspect.

Yet Lotito is being cheap again even after all the recent sales of top players, he can’t just agree to a bit more to get a young talent like Giovane.

  2. It would be a 10th wndr of the world if lotito pays more for this guy…bro lotito is sooo stingy even the devil looks at him with utter dismay…🤣🤣🤣🤣
