Maurizio Sarri is widely expected to leave Lazio in the coming days, and his next destination will likely be either Napoli or Atalanta.
The 67-year-old returned to the Italian capital club last summer, but he has been at odds with club president Claudio Lotito since the start of the season. The two men have repeatedly traded barbs in the press, as their turbulent collaboration should come to an end sooner rather than later.
Sarri’s imminent departure has also been confirmed by Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, who has a special rapport with the Tuscan manager. The two parties should soon meet to reach an agreement on the contract termination.
Sarri Has a Concrete Offer From Napoli
Sarri has emerged as the favorite to take over from Antonio Conte, who is on his way out of Napoli. Pedulla reveals that the Partenopei have indeed offered him a two-year contract and a net salary of €2.7 million per season plus bonuses tied to the league and Champions League.
While Sarri is tempted to return to Naples, where he enjoyed three golden years between 2015 and 2018, he has yet to make up his mind, as he also has another offer from Atalanta.
Giuntoli Wants Sarri Reunion at Atalanta
As Pedulla explains, the Orobici have chosen Cristiano Giuntoli as their next sporting director. He will arrive in Bergamo along with his longtime right-hand man, Giuseppe Pompilio. The journalist reveals that Sarri shares an excellent relationship with the two men from their time together at Napoli.
The source adds that Giuntoli is planning to replace Raffaele Palladino from the outset, and has already contacted Sarri, inviting the latter to join him at Atalanta. Therefore, the Lazio head coach will take some time to reflect on his future, but he’ll have to decide in the coming days.

Hoping he goes to Atalanta and has a succesful last run. After all the crap he has had to deal with Lazio.
Good for him..
This place is too demented for him to be here…he should go somewhere sane where he gets the players he wants and not a bunch of delebashiru’s and
Dele is decent but that is exactly the point. Lazio deserve better than ‘decent’ to be among the best in a top 3 league*
Honestly I am so surprised that so many solid teams want him… Because he played an awful football with Lazio. Even his first stint where he had much better players we played a terrible football for tifosi. Lots of meaningless passes, awful standard situations (Luis Alberto kicked like 170 corners kicks with 0 goals from them), no aerial battles, no crosses. And after scoring first goal he immediately ordered the team to pull back. Like we scored at 13th min against anyone like Lecce, Parma, Genoa… and we pulled back and waited for the rest of the match. Only to allow them to equalize around 87th min. Why they want him?
I still remember I HAD TO watch Napoli or Inter or Atalanta after our matches to heal my eyes with some normal meaningful attacking football.
