Lazio are reportedly interested in Burnley forward Armando Broja, who is keen to leave the club following their relegation.
Lazio Searching the Market for a New Striker
The Biancocelesti have been lacking a genuine goal threat in attack, especially after selling Taty Castellanos to West Ham in January, and replacing him with Petar Ratkov, who has yet to adjust to his new surroundings, and Daniel Maldini, who isn’t a natural centre-forward. Therefore, signing a new striker is at the top of Gennaro Gattuso’s wishlist ahead of the summer transfer market.
Lazio Ask Burnley About Armando Broja
According to Markaj News, Lazio have enquired about Broja, who has no intention of playing in the English Championship next season following Burnley’s relegation. The Clarets were only promoted to the Premier League last season, but suffered a miserable 2025/26 campaign, only collecting 22 points and finishing 19th in the Premier League table.

Broja also had a woeful season on a personal level, as he failed to establish himself as a regular starter in Scott Parker’s lineup. He made 24 appearances in the league, but only eight as a starter. He contributed with a single goal and one assist.
Broja’s Career Path
The Albanian international cost Burnley €22 million last summer, but the popular X (formerly Twitter) account believes the club would be willing to sell him as long as they can recoup €10-12 million. They are also open to sending him away on an initial loan deal.
Broja is a Chelsea youth product who had several loan spells between 2020 and 2025. He rose to prominence during the 2021/22 campaign, which he spent at Southampton. The 24-year-old was then lost in the shuffle at Stamford Bridge, and the Blues finally decided to sell him to Burnley last summer.
Lazio & Burnley Have Already Done Business Together
It should be noted that Lazio have a good rapport with the Clarets. The two clubs concluded the transfer of Loum Tchaouna last summer, and they also met in a pre-season friendly at Turf Moor in August, with Matteo Cancellieri scoring the solitary strike.
That being said, this reported choice is unlikely to convince the Lazio supporters, especially given Broja’s modest goalscoring record in recent years.

You honestly believe this as a valid transfer?
@Michel Sakr, 1 goal in 24 appearances. Almost 3million gross net salary with contract until 2030.
He’s Albanian so news will always get linked to Lazio, but as Tare is gone.
Albanians and Lazio mixed success anyway:
Behrami & Strakosha, Etrit Berisha were succesful.
Hysaj, Valon Berisha, Durmisi, Muriqi flops,
– Cana was mad but decent.
– Tare played in arguably one of the weakest Lazio sides in relative recent times, hard to say he was an okay player. Wouldn’t say he was a pure flop either.
Youth failures:
Ndrecka, Alia, Kalaj
A younger less expensive player, preferable Italian I’d definitely prefer.
99 appearances 9 goals over 4 seasons.
This won’t materialize. Not only is he expensive, but the fanbase would be in uproar. Lazio needs a proven scorer (unlikely to find given their financial state), or a cheap promising youngster to build around.
Broja is neither of these options. If anything, he’d be a downgrade.
I don’t think there’s anything advanced at this stage, as Italian sources have yet to report it, but perhaps one to keep an eye on.
I imagine several names will emerge in the coming days, but Fabiani could take his time before settling on a main target
Why to pick him If we have Ratkov? I don’ t get it
Another useless striker who doesn’t score, great …
