The Avignon native joined the Biancocelesti in the summer of 2024. In his first season in the Italian capital, he was a regular feature under Marco Baroni, although Alessio Romagnoli and Mario Gila were ahead of him in the pecking order.

The Italian manager has been fond of the centre-back from his time at Olympique Marseille between 2023 and 2024, when he appointed the latter as the stand-in captain in the absence of Valentin Rongier.

With Romagnoli on the verge of joining Al-Sadd, and Mario Gila potentially heading to Napoli or Atalanta, Lazio will be left short at the back.
