  1. There’s absolutely no chance of Lazio getting this player. Unless they stump up £30m. Norwich will be expecting playoffs at least and ambitions of top 2. They have lots of money too, so can’t be low-balled

  2. Schwartau is under contract-and a long one-at Norwich, so his entourage cannot ‘offer’ him to Lazio no more than I can.

Plus if Lazio make any sort of contact with the player, then that’s an illegal approach for a contracted player and can be reported and dealt with accordingly.

As for this talk of a season long loan deal, that’s the biggest load of ill informed and arrogant football related nonsense I’ve read all summer-and that’s some achievement with a World Cup happening at the moment!

To think any club would just let one of its best players leave for a season so a fading, sorry, faded ‘giant’ can try before they buy? Seems the journalists involved are as stupid as the story.

Schwartau will leave Norwich soon enough-but for the sort of fee that Lazio couldn’t even afford in their wildest and wettest dreams.

(Have they added Mbappe and Haaland to their shortlist as well?)
