Lazio are planning to sign at least one new centre-back this summer, and the top priority remains Sergi Dominguez.
Lazio Could Part Ways with Mario Gila & Alessio Romagnoli
The Biancocelesti have reportedly agreed to sell Alessio Romagnoli to Al-Sadd, while Napoli and Atalanta are vying for Mario Gila’s signature. These two potential departures will spark a defensive revamp at Formello. While the left-footed Oliver Provstgaard is expected to step into a starting role, the management still has to recruit a right-footed defender.
Sergi Dominguez is a Priority Target for Lazio
While some reports have identified Brighton’s Diego Coppola as the most plausible target due to his affordable cost, Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla insists that Dominguez remains the ultimate target. The 21-year-old is a Spanish defender who rose through Barcelona’s ranks before signing for Dinamo Zagreb last summer.
Lazio Must Sell Gila to Make Way for Dominguez
Dominguez immediately established himself as a protagonist at the back for the Croatian giants, helping them clinch the domestic double last season. His price tag has thus exceeded €10 million. While Lazio no longer have to worry about Tottenham Hotspur, who pulled out of the race, other Premier League clubs could enter the fray.
Pedulla insists the Biancocelesti won’t be able to make a move for Dominguez before cashing in on Gila. After all, they have been restricted to a net-zero transfer campaign, so they can only raise funds by selling players.
Lazio Also Interested in Pietro Comuzzo
Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio also confirms Lazio’s keen interest in the Barcelona academy product. However, he reveals Pietro Comuzzo as an alternative target.
The 21-year-old has become a regular feature at Fiorentina, and the Biancocelesti would only be able to afford him on an initial loan deal. So unless the Viola would be open to a temporary formula, Comuzzo cannot be considered a realistic target for Lazio.

I do like me a Pietro especially if he is name Comuzzo.
I like Coppola too but not his biggest fan. He is Italian though and at the back it does matter if Rovella or Cataldi is ahead of you… hard one.
Dominguez might just be the perfect replacement for Gila and Spanish people do get Italian quickly.
All options are good but we need Gila to go either Atalanta, Napoli and now Milan seem to be back.
I would love if a English team would come and blow them all out with €35mil , which is pockegchange for them like £27mil for a starter CB especially with Gilas flair, determination and those sprints… man I don’t want him to play against Lazio 🙂
Let’s start moving the things and give Gattuso the best chance.
