Lazio have closed a deal with FC Nordsjælland for Noah Markmann, who must now decide his next career step alongside his family.

The 19-year-old has cemented himself as one of the most exciting young players in Denmark. After rising through Nordsjælland’s ranks, he became a full-fledged member of the first team in 2024 and cemented himself as a regular starter last season. But with the defender’s contract expiring in June 2027, the Danish club prefers to sell him this summer rather than losing him for free a year later.

According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, Lazio have reached an agreement with Nordsjælland. Angelo Fabiani decided to satisfy the Danes’ demands by offering €6 million plus €2 million in add-ons. Nevertheless, the transfer market expert insists that the Biancocelesti haven’t yet reached the finish line, as the move still hinges on Markmann and his family, who must now render their final decision.

Markmann has also attracted interest from Turkiye, particularly from Trabzonspor, while Premier League clubs could enter the fray in the coming days, which could give the player a pause.

Lazio has liquidity issues, so paying a salary for a player that has no transfer value. Piles onto the trouble. Acerbi is 38 years old, not saying it’s a terrible idea if he’s willing to get lets say 3.6million gross. And Lazio is able to get Romagnoli of the pay list. As he does add experience, but getting a young player in who has transfer value and who can become worth more. Is definitely financially a more logical choice.
