Lazio and Sassuolo have reached a full agreement on the transfer of Andrea Pinamonti, who had long agreed to move to the Italian capital.

While the news has been in the air over the past few days, confirmations have poured in on Tuesday afternoon, with some of the most reliable sources in the Italian media reporting the deal, including transfer market guru Fabrizio Romano, who stamped it with his trademark ‘Here We Go’. The Italian striker will join the Biancocelesti on loan with an option to buy,

Lazio insider Damiano Er Faina also considers it a ‘done deal’. Sky Sport Italia correspondent Gianluca Di Marzio believes the overall cost of the operation will reach €12 million between fixed fees and add-ons. On the other hand, Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla believes the Biancocelesti will pay just over €10 million, including a loan fee that exceeds €3 million.

La Lazio Siamo Noi are also reporting a similar loan fee, but believes that the overall cost of the transfer cannot be estimated at this stage, as it will depend on bonuses hinging on the achievement of sporting objectives.
What’s Next for Lazio
Pinamonti is currently running on an expiring contract, so Sassuolo are expected to extend his deal before loaning him out to Lazio to protect their interests. With the arrival of the Inter Milan youth product, the Biancocelesti could part ways with one of their forwards, particularly Petar Ratkov, whom Gennaro Gattuso considers unfit for his tactical system.

Ok, this transfer window looks actually pretty decent. Frattesi, Sutalo and Pinamonti are very good additions. Team doesn’t look half bad on the paper. Under normal circumstances we should battle for Europe with this team, however… there is this ATROCIOUS coach and empty stadio. The weakest part is defence (ideally I would play Romagnoli – Sutalo when available) but midfield is on par with Alberto – Leiva – SMS era. Zaccagni needs to find his form. Attacking trident is solid, but they would need to perform on regular basis.
This is great! Ratkov is essentially a 3rd option now. Hopefully he accepts a move, as teams are willing to pay 15m-18m for him.
Lazio will need those funds if all the loans become obligations: (7m for Pinamonti, 4.5m for Sutalo, and 15m for Frattesi, totalling ~26m.)
Romagnoli, Gigot, and Lazzari all come off the books in 2027 which will keep Lazio at net zero. There may be some hope!

I don’t really rate Pinamonti, hope we sell Ratkov and we really focus on finding someone decent.
Good thing it’s 3m loan, its an okay deal to plug the gap for now, but would be an absolute madness to pay the remaining 11m for him.
