The Roman newspaper also mentions Lazio’s interest in Damsgaard, a 26-year-old Danish international who rose to prominence during his two-year spell at Sampdoria. The midfielder’s exploits in Serie A earned him a €15 million move to Brentford in the summer of 2022. He has gone on to make 137 appearances for the Bees, contributing with eight goals and 19 assists.

Damsgaard primarily plays as an attacking midfielder, but he could also feature on the wings if required. The source believes he could vie for a starting role on the left against Mattia Zaccagni, with Tijjani Noslin serving as a backup for Gustav Isaksen on the opposite flank.
