Lazio are still reportedly trying to sign young Leicester City striker Lorenz Hutchinson in a transfer saga that could go down to the wire.
Lorenz Hutchinson Stats at Leicester City
The 18-year-old is widely considered one of the Foxes’ most promising young talents, having netted 27 goals in his 38 appearances for the U18 side, plus four goals in 18 outings with the U21 team. He also has an international goal from his three caps with England U19. But with his contract expiring in June 2027, the teenager is facing an uncertain future.
Lazio Keen to Sign Hutchinson
Over the past few weeks, Hutchinson has been repeatedly linked to Lazio, who are looking to bolster their squad with an exciting young centre-forward. And although we’re less than 36 hours away from the transfer deadline, the move could still materialise.
Lazio & Leicester Closing in on Agreement
According to British football journalist Ben Jacobs, Lazio have submitted a ‘final’ bid for the English-Jamaican player, offering Leicester a transfer fee of £1 million in addition to a sell-on clause in case of a future resale.
🚨 Exclusive: Lazio have made a final offer of £1m to sign Leicester City's Lorenz Hutchinson. Leicester to retain a sell-on as part of the bid.

The source believes the 2015/16 Premier League champions are satisfied with the offer, but the two clubs still have some details to sort out before reaching the finish line. Il Messaggero also mentions Hutchinson as one of the young players Lazio are tracking.
What would be Hutchinson’s Role at Lazio?
At this stage, it remains unclear whether Gennaro Gattuso would be willing to immediately integrate the England U19 international into his first-team plans, or instead allow him time to settle in Rome while featuring for the club’s Primavera (U20) team.

This could also hinge on Gattuso’s attacking options by the end of the summer transfer window. Andrea Pinamonti is expected to become Lazio’s main striker, while Petar Ratkov is on his way to Levante. Meanwhile, Boulaye Dia’s future remains uncertain, with Stade Rennais said to be keen to recruit him.

Let’s be honest it’s a travesty that he’s not involved in the first team. Despite his age he can’t be worse than BDR and Cullen has been unconvincing to say the least
Why not sell off all the Academy players and get prepared for League 2? Having sold Monga to Man City, he is now going on loan to Swansea. He should have been sold with an agreement to be loaned back – Maresca may have been open to that! It is a shambles at the club now.
