First Contact Between Lazio Sporting Director Tare & Hellas Verona Talisman Zaccagni

Lazio sporting director Igli Tare opened talks with Hellas Verona talisman Mattia Zaccagni’s entourage.

As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, Eintracht Frankfurt winger Filip Kostic is still the Biancocelesti’s main forward target but the idea of the 26-year-old Zaccagni is gaining momentum.

The first contact has already been made between the parties, with Tare having contacted the player’s entourage. The 26-year-old Italian’s contract expires with Hellas Verona next year in 2022 and so a deal may be more accessible for the Roman club.

Lazio call Zaccagni to replace Correa

Verona are waiting for Lazio to open talks and their request is unlikely to be higher than €15 million. This is a golden opportunity for the Biancocelesti to sign an incredibly versatile and technical player, who can play as a trequartista, a midfielder or a winger.

Lazio ask Eintracht Frankfurt for Kostic

The fact that Zaccagni is Italian also helps, as this would assist Lazio when they submit their Serie A squad registration list.
