Juventus and Italian national team legend Gianluigi Buffon left Turin to move to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, leaving Juventus after many long years of service. Speaking to Sky Sport, Buffon gave an interview in which he spoke on several topics, including a mention of Lazio – when discussing his options during the summer.
“I could have considered Lazio,” the Italian said, “because the fans have always treated me like a champion, a man to be honoured.” Buffon then added: “This has an important value, but I think the best solution was to leave Italy, to expand my world of knowledge.“
