Formello: Lazio’s Luis Alberto Carries Out Individual Work As He Recovers From Appendix Removal

Lazio midfielder Luis Alberto took part in some individual work as the Biancocelesti squad returned to training today in Formello, according to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today.

The report details how the 28-year-old Spaniard, who is contracted to the Roman club until 2025, had to undergo an emergency appendix removal last week.

He is expected to return to the pitch in around a fortnight, and will miss the two upcoming matches against Atalanta.

Luis Alberto took part in some light jogging today, wearing trainers.

The players who started against Sassuolo in the 2-1 win yesterday remained in the gym today, with those on the pitch being the players who did not play or came on as substitutes.

Tactical training sessions for the first match against Atalanta will begin in the next few days.

The absentees today were Thomas Strakosha (possible knee injury), Luiz Felipe (recovering from ankle surgery), Danilo Cataldi (flexor issue) and Felipe Caicedo (who remained indoors with the starting 11).
