Coach Vincenzo Italiano: “I’m Only Thinking About Spezia, on Saturday We Have Lazio”

Spezia coach Vincenzo Italiano confirmed that his focus was only on the Ligurian side amidst interest in him.

Speaking in an interview with Italian newspaper Il Secolo XIX (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the 43-year-old Italian first spoke about his future.

I’m only thinking about Spezia. We started late after the playoffs, we played a lot away from the Picco, our budget is at the bottom of the table, but we are out of the relegation zone and right now it’s a small miracle.

On Saturday we have Lazio and my thoughts are on that game, then we’ll see. I’m happy when they point out our identity as a team, it means that we have a positive attitude.

Italiano then spoke about the best moments of the season so far.

The victory against the Rossoneri, who were at the top of the table, was exciting. A perfect game, the most beautiful since I’ve been coaching.

The victory against Napoli was the turning point. Lucky, of course, but we tried hard. We found ourselves in a numerical inferiority and we overturned the result. Unforgettable.
