Luis Alberto Would Only Leave Lazio on One Condition

Luis Alberto underlined his love for Lazio and confirmed that he’d only leave should an offer arrive from Spain.

The 29-year-old Spanish midfielder caused some controversy after unexpectedly leaving Rome early and missing out on the final game of the season against Hellas Verona. Things have now been smoothed over with the club and the pair are back on good terms.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Luis Alberto has assured Lazio that he’s very happy in Rome and would only be interested in a transfer should a convincing offer arrive from Spain. Sevilla, the only team currently interested, haven’t made an approach yet and are currently working on their outgoing market in order to generate funds.

Claudio Lotito values Luis Alberto at around €50m but he’d likely be willing to settle for around €30m. Rumours of a possible exchange deal with Piotr Zielinski have been denied by Napoli and nothing has been confirmed at Formello either.

Maurizio Sarri expects Luis Alberto to arrive in Rome on 3rd July in order to undergo the necessary medical checks ahead of the pre-season training camp in Auronzo di Cadore. Last year he skipped them, something that isn’t allowed this year.
