Lazio Reignite Interest in Besiktas Midfielder Gedson Fernandes

Lazio have seriously started to think about making a move for Besiktas midfielder Gedson Fernandes in the summer.

The Biancocelesti have already been interested in the 24-year-old Portuguese midfielder for a number of months now, with Maurizio Sarri highlighting the need for midfielders who better fit his tactical system, especially with Sergej Milinkovic-Savic on the way out in the summer.

Gedson Fernandes has impressed in Turkey since making the €6 million move from Benfica to Besiktas, providing five assists in 33 appearances for the Super Lig giants.

As highlighted by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), sources in Turkey claim that Lazio are seriously considering making a move for Gedson Fernandes in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Besiktas want around €20-25 million for the 24-year-old, a figure that takes into account the 50% future resale clause included in their deal with Benfica last year.

Lazio are still waiting to understand the future of their various midfielders, like Toma Basic and Marcos Antonio, before making a move, but Gedson Fernandes is on the list of possible options.
