Lazio Submit First Concrete Offer for Marco Carnesecchi

Lazio have sent in their first concrete offer to Atalanta for talented goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi.

The Biancocelesti have identified the 21-year-old Italian shot stopper as their primary option to replace Thomas Strakosha, who is leaving the club on a free transfer at the end of this month. Carnesecchi impressed Lazio after his strong season on loan with Cremonese, playing a crucial role in their promotion push.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Lazio have submitted an initial €10 million offer to Atalanta for Marco Carnesecchi, finally making a concrete move after weeks of consideration. Further talks are needed to reach a deal, however, as la Dea value the 21-year-old at around €20 million, significantly higher.

It is likely that a deal will be reached somewhere in the middle, especially as Lazio are still pushing to sign Carnesecchi despite his recent injury. The Italian goalkeeper was forced to undergo shoulder surgery after suffering an issue in a training session, which means he’ll be sidelined for around three to four months.

The 21-year-old Italian is a talented and confident shot stopper, good with the ball at his feet and unafraid to venture outside his box when needed. His positioning is strong and he’s no stranger to pulling off incredible quick-reaction saves.
