Lazio president Claudio Lotito is not planning to sack coach Maurizio Sarri despite the disappointing results this season.
The Biancocelesti had shown some positive signs in Serie A over the last month but disappointed in their Saturday afternoon trip to the Stadio Arechi, suffering a baffling 2-1 loss to Filippo Inzaghi’s side.
The result was yet another misstep from Sarri’s Lazio this season, who now sit seven points behind fourth place Napoli after 13 matches. The team need to start picking up wins fast if they want to stay involved in the race for a top four finish this term.
As reported by Il Messaggero (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), Lotito has maintained his faith in Sarri despite Lazio’s poor work in the new season and will not dismiss him in the middle of the season.
The two parties will likely sit down in June next year to discuss the coach’s future and the goals for the summer transfer window, but for now the plan is to move ahead together as expected.
