Lazio have reportedly named their price for Luis Alberto who appears increasingly destined to leave the club in the Summer, especially following the most recent controversial episodes.
The 31-year-old dropped a bombshell last month following the club’s win over Salernitana, announcing his intention to depart at the end of the season. Since then, the playmaker’s behaviour has been increasingly questionable. Last week, he reacted angrily when Igor Tudor replaced him in the second half against Monza.
Moreover, the duo didn’t see eye to eye in training ahead of Sunday’s encounter against Empoli. Therefore, the coach decided to drop the Spaniard from the matchday squad, leaving Lazio fans wondering if they had already seen the last of him in the club’s shirt.
Over the past few weeks, there has been a host of speculations regarding the player’s future, but Lazio president Claudio Lotito always insisted that the club won’t sell Alberto unless they receive a satisfying bid.
According to Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), the Biancocelesti won’t accept any offers below €15 million for the former Liverpool man. The midfielder’s contract with Lazio runs until the Summer of 2027, and reportedly, he has a lucrative offer from Qatar.
Il Mago has been a stalwart at the club since 2016. This season, he made 43 appearances in all competitions thus far. He scored five goals and provided his teammates with 11 assists.
