According to widespread reports from the Italian media, Lazio are on the verge of signing River Plate wonderkid Joaquin Perez Ibanez, born in 2000.
The 18-year-old is a forward, capable of playing both centrally and out wide, as well as at sort of second-striker/centre-forward role; meaning he could have both long-term and short-term uses at Lazio.
He’s Argentinian but also holds a Spanish passport, therefore not taking up a potential non-EU spot. It is thought that Ibanez will join the Primavera ranks, yet the young star has plenty of potential to break into the first team in the coming seasons.
