Wallace: ‘Cristiano Ronaldo paid me compliments; I’ve framed his shirt’
Lazio’s Brazilian defender Wallace was rated as Lazio’s best player in the 2-0 away defeat to Juventus on Saturday evening, after having been mocked for most of the week by Lazio fans and foes alike. However, the young centre-back stood up to the plate and was gracious in defeat, showing that life after Stefan de Vrij isn’t all bad.
Speaking about the game, Wallace spoke to GloboEsporte where he revealed: “During the match there was a bit of tension after a couple of my fouls on him. He looked a little irritated and annoyed with me. To close the matter, I came to him to apologize. As we both speak Portuguese, it was easy. He paid me compliments, so I asked him for his shirt and he gave it to me, I have framed it; I will not let anyone touch it.”
