Lazio Coach Inzaghi Not Returning For Napoli Clash After Positive Covid-19 Test

Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi will not be able to join the squad for tomorrow’s game against Napoli after receiving a positive test result for Covid-19 yesterday.

According to a report from Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the 45-year-old Italian coach was hoping for a negative result yesterday so he could return to the bench, after missing the wins against Hellas Verona and Benevento.

Inzaghi and his family tested positive for Covid-19 on the 8th of April and have been self-isolating at home since then, leaving assistant coach Massimiliano Farris to led the squad in his absence.

The Biancocelesti coach has never beaten Napoli at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona (formerly Stadio San Paolo) and so maybe things will be different tomorrow with Farris.

Inzaghi is always in touch with his players and staff and at the end of yesterday’s training session, he highlighted the importance of remaining focused throughout games and not dropping the level of tension.
