Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri was feeling incredibly positive following the confident 3-0 win over Fiorentina yesterday.
Speaking to gathered reporters in a press conference (via LazioNews24) after the game, the 63-year-old Italian coach first discussed the performance in the match.
You have to respect the characteristics of the players and we’re good at breaking forward. Today I liked the personality and the ability to dribble. I think the ball was hot.
The Lazio coach touched on how much better the team perform when they’re not taking part in mid-week games.
It’s not by chance that we give our best without midweek fixtures. Sometimes we played the third game after about 60 hours. This has definitely led us to pay something.
Sarri commented on the characteristics of this Lazio team and the strengths of star striker Ciro Immobile.
I’m not as fundamentalist as people say. This team has a centre forward who scores 30 goals a season.
