Lazio Refuse to Drop Interest in River Plate’s Rojas Despite Contract Renewal

Lazio are still keen to sign Robert Rojas from River Plate as they look to overhaul their defence in the summer.

The Biancocelesti have been interested in the 25-year-old Paraguayan defender for a long time now and they still believe he’d be a great fit for Maurizio Sarri’s system in Rome. He is able to play as both a right back and a centre back, making him tactically flexible.

The Paraguayan defender was one of the players on the Biancocelesti’s wish list in the January transfer window and the renewal has not been enough to push them away.

Rojas has made three appearances so far this season for River Plate, for a total of 270 minutes. In that time, he scored a goal against Newell’s Old Boys and helped the side keep two clean sheets.
